Topics on Production

Description

4 hours; 4 credits. A study of the interdisciplinary issues that intersect with the play currently being directed by a member of the theater faculty. Students may also study alternative or updated versions of the play, and experiment with related performance genres. Plays will be chosen specifically for the richness of their historical and cultural scope. The instructor for this course and the director of the play, if they are not the same person, will work together on materials for this course. All students taking this course will be involved in some way in the production itself: as actors, assistant designers, carpenters, lighting technicians, or technical crew. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: DRA 140.
