Description
4 hours; 4 credits. An advanced workshop in creative nonfiction. The class may focus on the outline and structure of nonfiction stories; on reporting techniques; choosing a narrative voice and strategy; and on crafting leads, overtures, and transitions. The workshop will also require substantial readings of nonfiction pieces. Texts may cover: autobiography, memoir, journals, narrative journalism, and literary essays. Class discussion of students' long work. For English majors and minors, this is designated as a writing course. Prerequisite or Corequisite: ENL 267 or ENL 370
