4 hours; 4 credits. This course analyzes various stages of regional and international relations in the Middle East from the conclusion of World War II to the present. The course will also provide an introduction to the domestic politics of the region's most important countries, paying special attention to the religious, cultural, and ideological uniqueness of the modern Middle East. Prerequisites: ENG 111, sophomore standing.
